Ammonites are an extinct spiral shelled cephalopod! Their fossils are estimated to be millions of years old and have spent many lifetimes under the sea. This particular fossil is inlayed with mother of pearl- a beautiful lustrous, iridescent substance that forms the inner layer of mollusk shells like oysters and abalone. I paired this marine fossil with a burst pattern and removable silver shell for ultimate ocean vibes.
This necklace can be worn multiple ways! With the ammonite shell and cast shell together as a long lariat-style necklace, just the ammonite shell alone or clipping the shell to a chain by itself.
