Ammonites are an extinct spiral shelled cephalopod! Their fossils are estimated to be millions of years old and have spent many lifetimes under the sea. This particular fossil is inlayed with mother of pearl- a beautiful lustrous, iridescent substance that forms the inner layer of mollusk shells like oysters and abalone. I paired this marine fossil with a burst pattern for some sunny ocean vibes.
